ADMISSION: Free for Bay Area K–12 school groups through the 2021 academic year
Learn about the storytelling, narrative, and malleability of photography through an immersive virtual gallery experience. Students will explore the nineteenth century through the advent of photography, and uncover the medium’s humor, magic, and multiplicity of meanings. A CJM educator will guide students in reflecting on how this Victorian-era technology has influenced our understanding of history and reality, and consider the stories photographs can tell.
Book your tour using the button below, or visit our Virtual School Tours page to see all of our virtual tour options.
The CJM offers an array of free, downloadable resources designed to prepare students and teachers to view exhibitions, and to support your tour experience.
