ADMISSION: Free for Bay Area K–12 school groups through the 2021 academic year
Join us for a guided virtual tour of the exhibition Levi Strauss: A History of American Style, featuring archival materials, images, and artifacts. Students will experience the story of Levi Strauss, a nineteenth-century Jewish immigrant in San Francisco, on the path to creating a global phenomenon. Tours explore the diverse history of gold rush–era San Francisco while tracing Strauss’s journey from Bavaria to California, the establishment of Levi Strauss & Co., and the popularization of blue jeans into the twenty-first century. A CJM educator will guide your students through the exhibition virtually, share a presentation, pose questions, conduct virtual activities, and field comments from students.
Book your tour using the button below, or visit our Virtual School Tours page to see all of our virtual tour options.
The CJM offers an array of free, downloadable resources designed to prepare students and teachers to view exhibitions, and to support your tour experience.
