Community Cube: Celebrating the Tapestry of Latin-Jewish Identity

Friday, September 15–Sunday, October 15, 2023 | Open hours

ADMISSION: Free

Join us this Latin Heritage Month (September 15–October 15) to celebrate the diversity of Jewish identity and the rich tapestry of Latin-Jewish peoplehood with a screening and activity in our Blue Cube. From September 15-October 15 during open hours, The CJM will screen "Mi Gente, My People," a short film exploring and celebrating the intersections of Latin-Jewish heritage, and provide supplies to create your own Remembrance Stone—a project inspired by calaveritas (sugar skulls) and the Jewish tradition of leaving a stone behind at a gravesite to mark your visit, that invites you to reflect on family, heritage, and interconnectedness.

Tickets

This screening and activity will take place on a drop-in basis in the Blue Cube during open hours. No ticket is required. To visit the rest of The Museum, book tickets below.
