San Francisco-based artist Davina Semo shares her thoughts on a variety of topics during a recent studio visit.

Davina Semo completed her MFA at the University of California, San Diego, in 2006. She received her BA in Visual Arts and Creative Writing from Brown University in 2003. Semo is represented by Marlborough Contemporary, New York and London, Jessica Silverman Gallery, San Francisco, and Ribordy Thetaz in Geneva, Switzerland.
Semo lives and works in San Francisco.
Show Me as I Want to Be Seen presents the work of groundbreaking French, Jewish artist Claude Cahun and her lifelong lover and collaborator Marcel Moore in dialogue with ten contemporary artists—Nicole Eisenman, Rhonda Holberton, Hiwa K, Young Joon Kwak, Zanele Muholi, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Gabby Rosenberg, Tschabalala Self, Davina Semo, and Isabel Yellin—to examine the complex and empowered representation of fluid identity.
