About the Program
The CJM launches a new quarterly social event for the after work crowd. Enjoy activities throughout The Museum including live music in the Stephen and Maribelle “Yud” Gallery, flash tours, dialogues on contemporary topics, DIY activities, and customized drinks and snacks. Each Night draws on Jewish holiday themes and current Museum exhibitions, creating a one-night only contemporary experience. “Unplug” includes music by Cave Clove, Reboot National Day of Unplugging Photobooth. “Attack of the Typewriters,” marbleized mask-making craft, tour of Jason Lazarus: Live Archive, Poetry Corner, plus cash bar.
Cave Clove is a modern reincarnation of 50’s doo-wop at its best. Add to that a hint of bluegrass, a splash of R&B, and roots in traditional Americana, and you have a group with a stellar sound that is all their own. Soulful harmonies, sultry vocals, and reflective lyricism meet unique instrumentation and make this 5-piece band an extraordinary addition to the evolving genre of Americana.
Poet Corner poets include: Erika Staiti, Evan Karp, Jen Siraganian, Sarah Fran Wisby, and more.
Co-presented with Reboot and supported by the Koret Foundation.
Public Programs and New Media Initiatives at The Contemporary Jewish Museum are made possible with lead support from The Jim Joseph Foundation. Major support has been provided by the Leavitt Family and supporting sponsorship comes from The Toole Family Charitable Foundation, David B. Gold Foundation, In Memory of Benjamin Alpert.
