About the Program

Inspired by Ginsberg’s collection of inscribed snapshots, Bay Area artists and scholars will create a unique performance based tour of the gallery. Performances will be drawn from encounters with Allen Ginsberg and his legendary cohort of Beat writers, artists, and lovers. Performers and scholars include Jewelle Gomez, Kim Anno, Tirza Latimer, Justin Chin, Jaime Cortez, and DL Alvarez. Created by the Queer Cultural Center.

Public Programs and New Media Initiatives at the CJM are made possible with lead support from The Jim Joseph Foundation. Major support has been provided by the Leavitt Family and supporting sponsorship comes from The Toole Family Charitable Foundation, David B. Gold Foundation, and Alyse Mason Brill and Nathan Brill.
