About the Program
Join the Museum for our first ever ZOOM Family Studios, an opportunity for kids (ages four and up) and their adult companions to explore the gallery with an artist, zoom in on a selected style or technique, and have fun creating art together in our studio. In this first series, zoom into abstract art from Beyond Belief: 100 Years of the Spiritual in Modern Art and get inspired to create artwork using a variety of fine art materials.
Zoom into Sculpture
How is it different to create in three dimensions? Walk through and around art and take in the many sizes and shapes of sculptures. Build your own unique sculpture in the art studio using fine art materials.
Zoom into Installation Art
How do artists transform a whole space? Explore the work of Teresita Fernández and enjoy a family challenge to create your own site specific installation at the Museum.
Zoom into Painting
How do artists express emotion in their paintings? Look closely at the diverse collection of paintings from Beyond Belief: 100 Years of the Spiritual in Modern Art and use a variety of paints and techniques to create your own work of art on canvas.
