About the Program

In this scathing satire of Jewish American assimilation, two young people meet at a summer resort and though both Jewish, they come from different worlds. The film is based on an award-winning novella by Phillip Roth (1969, 102min). Screened in tandem with Designing Home: Jews and Midcentury Modernism.
