About the Program
It has been thirty years since Wild Style brought the world to its break-dancing knees. Enjoy the classic flick with rare footage of one of the godfathers of hip-hop, Grandmaster Flash, pulling off an awesome scratch-mix set on a pair of ancient turntables (82 min, 1983).
Presented in conjunction with Kehinde Wiley | The World Stage: Israel.
Free First Tuesdays are made possible by the Alexander M. & June L. Maisin Foundation of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund and The John & Marcia Goldman Foundation.
Public Programs and New Media Initiatives at the CJM are made possible with lead support from The Jim Joseph Foundation. Major support has been provided by the Leavitt Family and supporting sponsorship comes from The Toole Family Charitable Foundation, David B. Gold Foundation, and Alyse Mason Brill and Nathan Brill.
