About the Program
For this third annual celebration of children’s stories at The CJM, hop into hands-on art-making, wiggle to the music of The Bug Family Band, visit the Green Bookmobile outside The CJM, and enjoy animal stories with SFPL librarians and local authors Bob Barner and Angela Dominguez. Present your SFPL Card for free Museum admission.

Storytimes in the Gallery
12–12:30pm, 1–1:30 pm, 2:30–3pm Listen to San Francisco Public Librarians read classic Arnold Lobel books surrounded by his original works of art hanging on the gallery walls.
Bob Barner Bug Stories
Bug Family Band in Concert | 12–1pm
Join local author Bob Barner (Bugs, Bugs, Bugs) while he reads, draws and plays ukelele! Then wiggle to the sounds of the Bug Family Band in a joyful folk rock show full of fun.
Clay Creature Studio | 1–3pm
Join local author Angela Dominguez as she tells the tale of a bird named Hugo, who overcomes his fear of flight in the lovely book Let’s Go Hugo. Celebrate this story and the stories of Arnold Lobel by creating your own clay creatures in our art studio.
