About the Program

In commemoration of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), the Museum will present the Bridge Players in Tales from Terezin, a unique concert of string chamber music which tells the story of Jewish composers who wrote and performed in the Terezin concentration camp.

Tales from Terezin presents the brilliant music of four Jewish composers whose artistic careers and lives were cut short by the Holocaust. All interned at Terezin, they continued to compose and perform under conditions of privation.  Their work was a major component of the remarkable cultural life that flourished at the camp and contributed to the morale of all those interned, prior to their deportations to Auschwitz and other death camps.  All four ultimately perished.  Their legacy and music lives on in the Bridge Players’ Tales from Terezin. The Bridge Players includes the musicians Victoria Ehrlich, Leslie Ludena, Natalia Vershilova and Randall Weiss.

After the Museum closes at 5 PM, you can continue the commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day at Congregation Emanu-El, including a Yizkor service at 5:30 PM.
