About the Program

The Improv Artists are back! After their sold-out shows on artist Marc Chagall, the improv troupe returns to the Museum to showcase, with comedy and music, the mysteries of Maurice Sendak.

The Improv Artists, featuring some of the most experienced improvisers in the Bay Area, have created a new type of storytelling based on performer and audience interaction with famous artworks. Come see Maurice Sendak’s best-known images on the big screen, and prompt the creation of new stories, not to mention impromptu musical invention.

The Improv Artists are: Steven Anaker, Michael Berlin, Vinnie Licata, Kathy Mello, David Norfleet, Jeff England and Debra Schifrin
