Teen Art Connect (TAC) is a career exploration program that brings together high school students from diverse backgrounds for a year-long paid internship at the Contemporary Jewish Museum.

All applicants must first read the information below before completing an application and submitting a letter of reference.

 


Job Description

TACs provide Museum visitors with fun & educational experiences and help make the Museum a vibrant place for teens. TACs will:

  • Learn about the Museum’s exhibitions and architecture
  • Learn about jobs and careers available in the arts
  • Greet the public and provide information about the Museum
  • Lead architecture and select exhibition tours
  • Assist with the Museum’s family programs
  • Plan and promote events for teens and young adults
  • Assist in the Museum’s offices
  • Create meaningful connections with peers and mentors

Requirements

Must be a high school student, entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in fall 2013

  • Interest in many of the following: art, culture, museums, architecture, Judaism, intercultural dialogue, education, customer service, public speaking, leadership, event planning, social networking
  • Must be responsible, reliable, enthusiastic, friendly, curious, and open-minded
  • Ability to check email, voicemail, and/or text messages daily
  • Must be willing to commit to the following:
    August 2013-May 2014: Attend Sunday trainings twice a month (3-5 PM) and work four hours minimum per week

Compensation and Benefits

TACs are paid minimum wage for all trainings and work hours completed. Additional benefits include:
